The 2025 Transfer Window opens on March 1, 2026. You can request to transfer into as many positions as you are interested in (and are certified to teach); however, you must accept the first position that is offered to you. The first teacher transfer selection committee to turn your name into district HR as their selection will have the rights to you, even if they haven’t reached out to you or touched base with you yet. Except as provided for in Article 16, Section B, #2 of the contract language, schools are still limited to interviewing a maximum of 8 candidates. Those schools will be identified before the start of the transfer window. Positions will be posted every 7 days. JCTA will hold virtual transfer workshops; members can register for all of these on the members-only portion of the JCTA website, www.jcta.org. The same information will be presented at each workshop, please only register for ONE workshop. Transfer workshops will be held Monday, February 2, 4:30-5:30 p.m., Thursday, March 5, 5:00-6:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 11, 8:00-9:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 18, 5:00-6:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 25, 5:00-6:00 p.m.
